Not a 'normal' org. That means you are working in a kind of entrepreneurial environment, with a lot of responsibility and you need to learn a lot by yourself.
I don't see in my team a lot of work/life unbalance, but you need to move quickly with your tasks.
The first 2 or 3 months, you could feel a little overwhelmed with all you need to learn and do from day one. Gradually, you're getting it until you master your craft.
Empower more mentors. DIY is good, but it could be better with more time of mentors available for each new hire.
