What you want depends on your goals. Promotion, either internally or via external company jumping, depends on two things: impact & experience. Amazon provides opportunities for both.
But it kind of forces you to have to do a lot of work, some of which is grunt work, which tends to be the necessity among most companies. At the end of the day, it's really a lot of work.

Currently awaiting the final interview. The first OA consisted of two LeetCode medium/easy questions. The final interview was set up a week or two later. It is said to consist of behavioral and technical questions within 45 minutes.
