Working in the Devices Ads team is new and different from my prior industry experience. The team is friendly and helpful. There is a lot to learn, and your input and feedback are listened to. Compensation for SDEs with experience can be quite good. Our group allows fully remote work.
The amount you need to learn initially can be overwhelming. It is best to pace yourself and ensure expectations align with your capabilities as you start off. It can take months to learn the large number of packages and services.
As an SDE, you will be part of the on-call support team rotation (one week every few months), which may get paged after-hours for urgent issues (very rare in this team, but does happen).
When hiring several new people at the same time, perhaps organize a few group meetings for all new hires to learn and ask questions at the same time on the various services.
This would help with team building with your co-workers, and many times others ask questions you might not have until after the meeting is over.
A long OA (online assessment) was followed by a recruiter call. The recruiter call consisted of discussing past technical experience and projects, alongside a behavioral interview. The next round was a technical interview, which included LeetCode M
Recruiter reach out -> OA. Solved one question completely and passed half of the other question's tests. Later, I was rejected due to lack of experience on my resume. I actively asked if there were any SDE I positions, but they were unable to provid
Introduction, some info about the project. A detailed explanation for why a particular tech stack was chosen. Two DSA questions were asked, the approach was discussed, and time complexity analysis was done.
