I work with a group of smart engineers.
Everyone is friendly and helpful.
Even though there is heavy on-call, I learn a lot from it.
Random/Bad organization. I am not sure if it happens also in other big companies. There have been lots of reorganizations in my team. I have been changed to report to 3 different managers within one year and a half. It is hard to focus on development and to get a promotion.
I guess the first thing Amazon should do is to have more stable management. That means, giving engineers a more stable and encouraging environment to develop. Thus, engineers will engage and grow with the company.
