Amazon is a huge company with lots of opportunities to work on cool stuff, and the pay is very good.
Depending on what team you get on, it can be a high-stress work environment with very long hours (low work/life balance). Most teams have an operational responsibility, which means some weeks you will be asked to wear a pager 24/7 to respond to production problems.
Poor vacation culture. Average benefits.
