Specifically in Spain, the work-life balance at Amazon is maintained. Nobody ever asked me to work additional hours, work during weekends, or deliver no matter what.
If a deadline is not met, it is usually attributed to bad estimations, which we later retrospect to improve our processes.
It can be very hard to get to the Senior Developer level, as guidelines are ambiguous and not as clear as getting to the Mid-level.
