Compensation the longer you stay at a given position becomes extremely substantial. Depending on the project, you can find yourself working on very fulfilling projects.
The importance of quality and standards appears to be in a steady decline with the changing of the guard and new company culture. This stretches employees thin, justified by high compensation.
Standards are lowering. Rather than focusing on high-paid employees who tell you the truth about the project and quality, you should focus on those who produce favorable numbers to suit the required perception of the health of the product.
