Too much tech debt
Interesting problems to solve, latitude (sometimes) to solve them.
Leadership doesn't own the problems that continue to build mountains of avoidable tech debt, and often makes it the problem of individual contributors after the fact.
I'd be happy to fix this if empowered to do so...
