In my experience, the engineering and management teams (in the product development field) are very skilled. They're not all about technical stuff; they see you as someone who is more than just a walking textbook or a programmed computer.

Tips to crack the interview:

  • Know topics mentioned in your resume inside out (kinda duh!)
  • Listen carefully to their description of the job and their expectations of you. Then, ask questions or have conversations about them (this proves your interest in the role is genuine).
  • Attitude is everything. You could be the most knowledgeable person on the planet, but if you don't have the right attitude towards work and your potential peers, they wouldn't want you on their team.

Good luck!
