As an underdog, AMD has excellent survival instincts
Helpful people and good team camaraderie during difficult times.
There is a sense of 'fighting for the underdog' among the employees. Opinions are heard (though not always acted upon), and meetings are often focused.
Always catching up to Intel. The last two years have been a roller coaster, what with all the layoffs leading to low morale.
Projects often get canceled, and there has been a constant reorg going on. This leads to a lot of uncertainty among employees as to what the next assignment would be.
