The pay and benefits are decent, and it's a relatively big, stable company.
I worked in the Markham office.
Horrible work ethics and expectations. Sometimes, employees have to stay in the office till midnight; it's crazy.
Even interns have to stay till 7-8pm, especially when a project deadline is approaching.
The employees, at least in my team, had no life outside of work, so I guess they didn't mind working long hours.
Working with them everyday was kinda depressing because all we talked about was work. They didn't have any hobbies, side projects, or just didn't want to share.
Felt very isolating to work here.
Yeah, do more team-building events. Invest in services that help introverts open up a bit.
Also, there is a lot of groupism/nepotism in this office. People hire based on contacts instead of actual qualifications.
Like, why would you hire someone from health science to do software development when you could easily find a computer engineer/computer science student through online applications? Oh, because they did a 4-month programming course and they are your nephew's "friend"? Sure, why not.
Just make things harder for existing employees since now we have to babysit their incompetent butts.
Also, increase diversity, please, for gender, race, and religion without compromising the qualifications of the new hires. That's how you can avoid groupism.
The interview process was standard. The coding challenges were fair but not too difficult. Communication was not too clear, and the feedback was non-existent. Overall, it was an okay experience.
I still haven't given the interview, so I am trying to know the questions first. Your site is not allowing me to see them, and I am a student. I just cleared the OA, which consisted of both MCQs and coding questions. One coding question was an easy D
The recruiter held an initial interview, where they asked typical interview questions and said they would get back to me. After a few weeks, they never reached out. I was waiting for a response, but had no luck.
