Pros

Work with great people in an exciting field, with some good benefits.

Cons

The company management has really become ineffective.

No raises for the last 13-plus years; took a 20% pay cut in 2003, and now more cuts are expected due to bankruptcy.

Customer service has diminished due to cost-cutting.

The attitude of most of the employees here has been quite negative to indifferent, including local management.

Work weekends and holidays with no increased compensation.

Advice to Management

Manage from a qualitative manner instead of a strict quantitative philosophy. Human resources has become like a form of Gestapo, making threats and handing out disciplinary letters for every little infraction. This is not only ineffective cost control, but also sends a poor message about how management values its employees.
