Not a bad place to work if you can stand the cliques
Plenty of great things to work on with some good people.
Primarily the worst are the cliques that always seem to roam. If you’re not in one or liked by one, you can be sure that you’ll be dropped from American’s ranks, even if you’ve been there for years and have never done one thing wrong.
Clear the cliques and rank people based on their work instead of hearsay from those senior managers in those cliques.

American Airlines Interview Experiences
Junior Developer
The interview was a day-long group interview. We had three individual interviews with 2-3 recruiters and then a written exam. They talked a lot about the company culture and the benefits.
Sr. Engineer
I had a recruiter call initially, followed by a technical round with the hiring manager. After clearing it, the final round was onsite, which had a mixture of behavioral and technical questions.
Junior Frontend Developer
I was asked to do an easy LeetCode algorithm (Array Intersection I) using any language I like (I chose Javascript). They also tested me on OOP knowledge with a code that used Java.
