The process began with a written test completed from home. Once you finish it, you will receive a call for a face-to-face interview.
I reached Amex Koramangala. The first round was pathetic. I applied for a Big Data role, and the interviewer asked me exclusively about Java, even requesting that I write code in Java. I never stated that I was a Java developer. I mentioned my expertise in Spark and Scala, but since the interviewer was unfamiliar with Scala, they resorted to asking Java logic questions. These questions covered algorithms and theoretical concepts. I believe no other company asks these types of questions in a Big Data interview.
I have attended interviews at multiple MNCs, but this was the worst experience ever.
For those considering this interview, please ensure you have a strong understanding of Java and data structures such as hash maps, trees, and linked lists.
Be thorough with Java coding, even for Big Data roles.
Also, be proficient in time and space complexity.
