Process

One of the best interviewing processes I’ve been through. After applying on late Sunday evening, I received a reply back early Monday morning to schedule a phone interview to start the process.

The interview consisted of three rounds:

  • 30-minute phone screen - standard.
  • 1-hour technical interview with two senior engineers - questions about Java (Collections, multi-threading, garbage collection), a modelling question (they call it abstract reasoning), and a simple maths question.
  • 2-hour technical interview with two senior engineers - this was a coding exercise in Spring, and you were allowed to use Google (encouraged as well to see how you would search for the answer). There were 20-30 minutes at the end to ask any questions.

The interviewers were very friendly, and after each step of the process, I received feedback not more than an hour later! I was later informed that I should be receiving an offer the same day as my final interview. It was later extended to me in writing a day later.

The process took a bit more than a couple of weeks, but that was only because I am currently working, so I had to find time to schedule interviews.
