For a Big Data QE, depending on project hiring, there are multiple interview levels.
Level 1: Technical Round 1 Be prepared to answer everything you have worked on over the years. They check your resume thoroughly and ask almost everything mentioned in your CV. So, prepare your CV very well before sharing it with the Amex recruiter.
Level 2: Technical Round 2 This is a more detailed interview process than Level 1. A good hold on SQL queries and understanding is crucial. They don't expect you to solve difficult HackerRank queries, but rather how well you understand or can write queries. You should be good enough to answer their counter-questions. They might also try to confuse you to check your hold on queries and clauses.
Level 3: Managerial Round They test you thoroughly on your communication and speaking skills, and how presentable you are in the interview. It's always good to appreciate the interviewer for their time. Be vocal and do not try to trick your interviewer. The person interviewing you will have at least 15 years of experience, so you will be caught immediately.
All rounds will be more than an hour.
