Amex supports employees to the core.
The processes are clear, tools and technologies are available, and they promote learning and growth.
Cons: Each team's dynamics depend on the portfolio leadership (VP and directors), hence there is a big inconsistency in team morale and competency, depending on the leaders.
Some leaders keep unskilled labor on their teams. Dedicated team members feel discouraged because many others don't work but get paid.

Pros: Great people to work with. Challenging environment. Excellent cafe. Management listens. Health clinic on site. Lots of employee satisfaction programs.
Cons: Parking can be a challenge if you don't arrive really early in the AM.
Also, if you leave for lunch, you might not get a parking spot when you get back to work.
