Software Developer Interview Experience - Austin, Texas

Process

I had a half-hour interview via career fair with two people. One asked behavioral questions, and the other asked technical questions.

Within a couple of days, I was invited to Super Day for a second round of interviews.

The first Super Day interview was one-on-one. The interviewer spent the entire time discussing how bureaucratic Amex is.

Then there were two hacking sessions: one alone and one with a group.

Each group was supervised. Our supervisor began by stating that the previous group she watched was so amazing that we wouldn't be able to impress her, and then she walked away.

At the end, we toured the facility. The guides mentioned they didn't really enjoy working there and complained about the campus.

It was an odd day.
