My profile was shortlisted by the AMEX internal Talent Acquisition team. I was called for an interview on February 17, 2017, at the AMEX Gurgaon office.

After waiting for about half an hour, the concerned HR came and took my resume to share with the interviewers. I had to wait for another hour for the interviewers. As soon as they arrived, one of them said that they had already interviewed me in the past. They then immediately left without explaining anything to me.

After 15 minutes, the HR came to quiz me about the past interviews I had taken at AMEX. Fortunately, I had a copy of the Job Description (JD) from an earlier interview I had given about two months prior. We compared them and found that both JDs were totally different.

Afterward, she explained that AMEX has a policy of freezing a candidate's profile for six months for interviews within the same team.

I had traveled from Noida to attend this interview and missed the final round of interview with PwC on the same day, only to be treated like this!
