Software Engineer Interview Experience

Process

After applying and getting past the initial application process, the process began with a Codility assignment.

This was a coding challenge. If you performed well on it (though "well" is relative; I didn't ace it by any means, but I did solve all the challenges), they would move you on to a virtual interview.

The virtual interview initially seemed to be with one person, but it actually involved two, interviewed back-to-back. The first interview was behavioral, and the second was technical. During the technical interview, they reviewed the problems you answered in the Codility assignment.

Overall, the interview process was fantastic. It felt very natural, and the people were very nice.

Questions

Imagine you are leading a team of developers towards completing a project within one month.

Halfway through, you are informed that a different project, with a higher priority but the same deadline, needs to be completed by your team.

How would you respond, and what would you do?
