I had a great experience with the AI Research team at American Express, especially since I got to learn and explore the field of Explainable AI.
I got to do a research project in a corporate setting, so this was a unique and valuable experience.
It should have been more than just two months, as the time wasn't really sufficient for me to complete the project. I could do the literature survey, as well as implementation and basic testing, but I couldn't really do any of the business application stuff, as my internship got over by that time. My work was handed over to my colleagues after my internship.
We should really consider increasing the duration of the internship.
AmEx visited my campus during our internship season and conducted a test following a nominal resume shortlist. This test had three sections: * The first was an aptitude section. * The second consisted of questions on basic machine learning/data
1. Online coding challenge on Codility, consisting of 2 coding questions. 2. Behavioural interview on HireVue. 4/5 questions, approximately 20 minutes. 3. In-person assessment centre invitation, including group work as well as solo sessions.
Through the college placement and internship cell during my 3rd and 4th year, Amex came to my college for recruitment. I participated in the hiring process. I tried but couldn't make it.
