Working at American Express is a privilege. Employee satisfaction is one of the big blue box values for the management. Colleagues are extremely courteous and super helpful. You can literally go up to anyone, no matter their designation, and have a discussion.
Everyone is proud of the company and takes blue box values very seriously. I work in technology, and Amex is no less than other niche tech giants. You are encouraged to innovate and, most importantly, are heard by upper management. Amex offers the most competitive salary in the market with dozens of perks and privileges, so you know your organization has your back on good and bad days. Moreover, it is super flexible with work timing and locations. Ample work from homes and leaves are provided, so work-life balance isn't an issue. No doubt it ranks in Fortune's top 10 places to work for.
Not much of a con here, but not all teams work on exciting projects. However, you can change teams in 18 months, so that's not an issue.
