Be a little humble to lateral hires. My HR, Sakib, during induction, had really made me feel bad for having a little package earlier in my career and offers from not that big brands, like Amex, while salary negotiating. But later on, all were good. So, not much complaint as only one person I met like that, who made me think whether to join Amex or not.
