Pay is good, work is challenging and motivates growth. Developer experience setup is excellent.
Work-life balance is basically non-existent, and it seems to worsen with seniority. Employers expect to be on call basically 24/7. Managers seem distant and unreachable.
As a contractor, there are virtually no benefits.
Get in touch with the team more often, keep a consistent cadence of feedback, and a bit more transparency wouldn’t hurt.
