Technology is just 1-2 years behind the current trend. Folks at engineer levels are good techie resources, but most of the coding is done by junior-level folks.
Too much flamboyance; engineers talk more than code.
Culture is top-down, with very heavy hierarchy at the top, which is good for nobody.
If your manager doesn't like you, you should be looking for a new job.
Too much favoritism and relationships; it's more important whom you know rather than what you know.
I have never heard of VP4, VP3, VP2, VP1, or SVP, EVP. Only one person out of these six is required. Folks at a high level are having king-size egos and are slowly killing all the engineers. There is no point in paying money for those people who just forward emails and add no value to the organization. Remove them to make more office space and provide better salary/perks for the engineers. Do everything possible to retain good technical folks, not the ones who are favorites of management.

Extremely unprofessional people I have ever seen in my 9 years of career. It was awful to talk to them, and I bailed out of the process. This was my first and last interview with them. Never again.
