The merchant side of the business in technologies has excellent leaders that genuinely care for the individual. There are tons of opportunities to move up if you’re not a people leader (not that it stops there, but there are just a lot of competition for those jobs and plenty of good candidates). Though it’s very self-driven and depends on the individual to take the initiative.
Working on the authorizations side of the business, it seemed that the leaders were less competent or caring about the individual. Perhaps the culture has changed since I was last there, but it was like working for a different and much worse company over there.
