They offer work from home, but that is also good for some limited time.
I am an ex-employee of the WebHub India team and worked in shifts for 9 months. I am entitled to shift allowance, and hence I informed my leaders throughout my tenure about the shift allowance not being credited with my monthly salary. I was promised every month that it would be sorted out, but my trust was not kept, and that never happened throughout my tenure.
When I was serving my notice period, I raised this issue again and was informed by my leaders that the shift allowance would be cleared in my Full and Final Settlement.
In FFS, I also did not receive my shift allowance. It was also not informed to me that the shift allowance was not credited as part of the FFS I received, until I saw the FFS statement.
After checking the FFS, I sent an email to my leaders, HR, and the Payroll India team informing them of the same on March 10, 2015. (You can check the mail trail for all the mail communications that happened.)
I was promised (on call) by my leader that the amount would be credited by April 25, 2015. Even this did not happen.
So, I spoke to Payroll India yesterday on a call, and they informed me that they received information about the shift allowance only on April 17, 2015. As the cut-off date was April 14, 2015, they could not process it in April's payroll. Now the dues will be credited in May's payroll.
I sent my first email after checking the FFS statement to my leaders on March 10, 2015. I am finding it very hard to understand why this took so long to process, even when it is known that the amount has been pending for more than a year.
And now, I cannot wait for another payroll for my payout as I have some commitments, and I am also not able to trust that this will be done in May as well.
I am stressed, as this was never expected from such a large and reputed organization.
Don't cheat your employees.
A 30-minute long coding test and interview with another developer. It was straight to the point, and they were even helpful at points. The entire process was conducted through Webex, so make sure you can share your screen.
First, an initial phone screen. Then, they make you take one of those automated tests. Then another tech screen. Then one more tech screen. Most of the questions they ask have little to nothing to do with the apparent day-to-day. The interviewers
Round 1 - Technical Round 2 - Behavioral It was an easy interview, focusing on basic DBMS and OS concepts and resume grilling. The flow was smooth, and the interviewers provided hints wherever required.
