Pros: Strong, positive work culture, great compensation, emphasis on hiring a combination of smart and helpful people, awesome projects, and good perks. Strong mission statement and good company culture. Everyone is trying, from the top to the bottom. It's much different than the deoxygenated halls and bloated meetings I saw at Boeing. Also, I get to work with some truly incredible people I would never see anywhere else.

Cons: Not a 40-hour a week, every week job. There's no pressure to work more than 40 hours a week, but most people want to anyway. Sometimes you go home at 5 PM, no problem. But sometimes you have important work to do instead. Lots of projects going on all at once, and context switching can be a bit difficult until you get used to it.

Pros: • Engineering staff, management, and execs are all focused, working hard, professional, and trying. (Coming from Boeing, what a change!) All listen to and provide professional feedback. • Strongly positive ownership culture, giving a feeling of "we are all working together to do hard things." Never once been yelled at or had a bad moment of politics. • For a defense prime, unbeatable compensation, which is inclusive of equity. • Excellent business outlook, truly disrupting and owning major chunks of the USG market.

Cons: • Ownership culture means you own it; for me this isn't a con. If you can't deliver it, it's on you to ask for help. Sometimes, you have to work later and harder to deliver something that your team owns. But, they are right there with you. Really, this company culture is for people who find meaning in their work and want to make a difference. • Not so bad now, but in the past you would constantly be moving desks at HQ, once every 4-5 months.

Pros: Decent comp vs defense space. Location is nice. Some business lines are better than others.

Cons: Management in the Vehicle Autonomy org is terrible. There is no clear direction on products, and there is more and more administrative BS (TPMs, scrum, story points, etc.). There are also more requests to work weekends. No interesting work is being done, just full-time configuration management. Compensation bumps are pretty poor, and morale is very low. I would not recommend joining any of the robotics orgs.
