Pros: Strong benefits package, great products, smart colleagues

Cons: The culture is best described as ultra-competitive, gossipy, and toxic. Team members are constantly vying for advancement at the expense of others, resorting to deceit and backstabbing to climb the corporate ladder. Trust among colleagues is virtually nonexistent, as individuals are willing to throw others under the bus to save themselves from potential layoffs. Folks don't perform best under these conditions, and I see a lot of burnout on my team. Additionally, there is a serious underrepresentation of women and minorities within the organization. I have not seen or heard of any efforts to improve diversity and culture. I would caution anyone considering employment here to carefully evaluate whether they are willing to tolerate such a toxic and unhealthy work environment.

Pros: Great compensation package. Important work.

Cons: No work-life balance. Messy organization.

Pros: I get to work on super exciting products solving needs for a variety of customers. I get to see my work in the field, and how the changes I make impact system performance. It is quite rewarding. Benefits are also really good. Free food, gym, office quality, healthcare, vacation bonus, yada yada – I got the whole deal.

Cons: Things can change quickly (requirements, deliverables), and sometimes this yields crunchtime. But honestly, this can be what makes the work quite enjoyable.
