Senior Manufacturing Test Engineer Interview Experience - Columbia, South Carolina
Process
I spent over a month participating in virtual and onsite interviews with KLAS, a newly acquired company, for what was originally proposed as a "fully remote" position.
The position was interesting; however, it was quite a bit junior compared to my experience level and skillset.
That being said, this felt like a bait-and-switch. The position went from "fully remote" to requiring 2-3 days onsite/hybrid at a supplier (not Anduril) two hours away, with no mileage reimbursement. I did not discover this until our offer meeting, which was presented by a completely different person than those I had been interviewing with previously.
Additionally, the offer was quite a bit under my current salary.
The entire interaction process now makes me question how this company will produce reliable products for the US military.
