• Very political work environment. People constantly undercut other's work, poach people from other teams, and in general just don't want to work together. • The technical bar has gone down over the years. • Lack of investment in modern software technology like ML. • There have been random firings without warnings or real feedback. • Over the years, employees have gotten less engaged with the mission of the company and haven't felt motivated to work as much.
I think management can do a better job engaging the team and making them excited to come to work every day.
