I think the problem is mid/senior level leadership. I’m not sure how this gets corrected aside from the board stepping in, since it seems existing leadership is just blind to it.
The place is a revolving door. When so many people are just leaving or quiet quitting after being with the company for, in some cases, only a few weeks, there’s obviously something wrong.
The CEO swoops in and commandeers or kills things on a whim.
The CTO tears people down publicly in meetings and over Slack.
Data Science is non-existent and, in fact, it’s been an afterthought.
Design is run ragged and burnt out.
EMs and PMs are the most volatile positions here and appear mostly unsupported.
The company desperately needs an infusion of more experienced leaders who actually have a clue about running a company at this stage.
