Process
Attended the open house at Cupertino during the summer.
Received a call for a Fall internship.
The whole process involved four phone interviews:
- The first interview focused on caches, C++, FSM design, and computer architecture questions.
- The second interview was mainly on C++ and memory management by the OS.
- The third interview was about scripting in Perl, followed by C++ questions.
- The fourth interview dealt with verification questions and cache coherence protocols.

Pros: Flexible hours. Very friendly management. I came in with almost 0 experience, and my manager trained me for a good week until I became good at my work.
Cons: A lot of confidentiality, but not real cones. I love Apple! It's a great place to be in.

Pros: Stable, no large-scale layoffs. Apple product discounts. Okay benefits. Good work-life balance.
Cons: Pay isn't competitive if you stay in the company for a long time. My team has poor diversity, dominated by a group of people from a certain country. It's hard to get promoted. Good opportunities are always theirs. There's a politics game to push you out.
