Linguistic Tester Interview Experience - Cupertino, California

October 1, 2015
Negative ExperienceNo Offer

Process

The process took me more than two weeks, overwhelming not because of the interview itself, but due to all kinds of paperwork between three parties.

A recruiter from Apple saw my resume on LinkedIn and reached out to me first. After three screening steps with the recruiter, including:

  • A phone interview
  • A skill test quiz
  • A video-call technical skill test

They offered me the position and brought me to an on-site tryout day at Apple for one day.

During the one-week wait for the tryout results, my inbox was spammed every single day with all information relating to the position: offer letter, salary negotiation, benefit information, California labor law, tax forms, etc.

Then, I received an email saying that I did not pass the tryout test and they did not have any feedback to share about my performance either. I never heard anything from them since then.

Questions

During my tryout day, I was assigned some work related to my applied position, which is, of course, confidential and cannot be shared.
