Process

A friend referred me for the position. The whole process took about two weeks. The scheduling was very swift, and I was called on-site within a week.

The on-site interview lasted from 11:00 am until 6:00 pm. The scheduling was highly disorganized, as it was supposed to end at 5:00 pm, but they added a couple of people to the schedule on the interview day. I had to meet with eight different people from their team for 30 minutes each.

Some of the people I met were intelligent and pleasant to talk to. Most questions were technical, with some behavioral questions as well.

Some of them were arrogant about being Apple employees and argued with me on statistical concepts. They asked questions about measuring the intensity of light beams, which was not relevant to the job I applied for.

I was also told I would have to spend close to 30% of my time in China working with their suppliers, which is a no-go for me. Overall, I found the experience to be negative.
