Process

Recruiter and Hiring Manager Phone Screens:

You'll have an initial phone call with a recruiter to discuss your background and a subsequent technical screen with the hiring manager.

Take-Home Design Challenge: A take-home design challenge is a common step. You may be given a week to complete a problem related to a real-world issue Apple has faced, such as designing a battery door or an automated test fixture. You'll need to present your solution, including sketches, material selections, and fastening methods, to the team in a subsequent interview.

Onsite Interview Loop: This is the most intense part of the process, a full-day (sometimes up to 8 hours) series of interviews with various team members, including senior engineers, managers, and directors. The loop is designed to test your knowledge from multiple angles. It often begins with a presentation of your take-home challenge, followed by deep dives into your technical skills.
