PCBA DFM engineer Interview Experience - Cupertino, California

December 2, 2025
Negative ExperienceNo Offer

Process

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks.

A small call with the recruiter. A 30-minute call with the manager for a background check (possibly another 30-minute round), followed by a series of panel interviews with cross-functional partners and managers, senior managers, and directors.

In my personal experience:

  • Many of the panelists were unprofessional.
  • Everyone was almost late for their respective interviews by a few minutes.
  • Managers and senior managers were on the call without turning on their cameras.
  • The director on the call had his camera off and did not even utter a word.

The recruiter pretends to be the busiest person on the planet and needs 2-3 follow-ups for everything.

Questions

They ask technical questions about manufacturing and processes.
