It was an easy first tech round. The interviewer was friendly and gave ample time to understand and ask questions.

The interview started with a coding challenge and then some system engineering-related questions.

1. Convert a list to a dictionary where the key is the item and the value is the count of the item.
2. Given the above dictionary, sort and remove duplicates.

System Engineering Questions:

• What is an inode?
• What is the average load on a Linux system?
• What is included in the Kubernetes control plane?
• Given a /24 subnet, how many IP addresses are available to use?
• A Kubernetes pod is not starting up and remains in a pending state. How would you troubleshoot this?
