Pros: The salaries are competitive for the area and for the industry (software development). Benefits are pretty good, and lunches and dinners are easily available and affordable.

Cons: The Mac has been around for decades. But Apple still has a bit of a startup mentality. Depending on what group or department one works in, it may be difficult to get weekends off or real vacations of more than one week.

Pros: - Smart co-workers - Always something new. - Benefits rock. - It's Apple: Smart, savvy, passionate people who care about their products. - Stock grants.

Cons: - Sadly, not a lot of salary growth past hiring. - They prefer stock grants to raises beyond inflation adjustment. - Large, organic organization. - Things have improved, but there are lots of silos to protect from leaks. - Sometimes that means the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing. - The people at the top do, but you're a bit of a mushroom. - Ever-growing middle management. - More departmental politics than there used to be.

Pros: People are great. Work is interesting. Never stops striving for quality. My contributions really matter.

Cons: No end to work. Constant pressure to deliver more. Intergroup dynamics can be difficult.
