Pros
  • Great name on your resume.
  • The experience of traveling the world (Asia) and managing complex supply chains.
  • Decent opportunities if you want to sign your life away.
Cons
  • Engineering work is done very fast and sloppy.
  • Processes are never followed from project to project, which creates inefficiencies.
  • Work-life balance? LOL. Kiss your evenings goodbye Sunday through Friday nights. If you're in Ops, you'll travel 35% of the year.
  • Great pay, but once you break down the hours necessary to do your job well, the pay isn't so great.
  • Hobbies? You must mean my hobbies are to work and try to maintain what I have left of my out-of-work relationships.
Advice to Management
  • Staff your teams for the projects assigned; if not, don't take on all the projects Apple is handing down.
  • Pay your team members fairly for the effort put forth.
