The more senior you get, the more you will be dealing with politics across different teams/divisions.
Management is almost always focused on "the next thing" and doesn't take the time to celebrate victories.
Take the time to celebrate when accomplishments are made, and be sure to let the front line know that their work is meaningful and valued.
