Pros

Nothing if you are a contractor.

Cons

Review is only meant for Contractor roles:

  1. You will be called as a contractor in mail and verbal communication.
  2. Contractors are not allowed to sit with permanent employees, even if there is a vacant place amongst badged employees. You have to adjust like you do in the sleeper class of Indian Railways. Apartheid!
  3. They have some legal constraints which prevent them from directly interacting with contractors, so they have appointed different managers/leads for contractors, which complicates communication as every contractor has to deal with two sets of leads.
  4. The manager relies on spying and micromanagement to control the team. You have to mention the number of hours spent on each activity on a daily basis, apart from filling timesheets. The leads for contractors are nothing but spy agents.
  5. Verbal threats of termination on a regular basis by the manager.
  6. The manager has neither any experience nor knowledge of testing, but she has still been made manager because she is the favorite of the Apple manager.
  7. Chances of conversion only if you are an ex-employee of HP, because the Apple manager is also ex-HP. Most of the permanent employees are ex-HP.
  8. Bootlicking is a must to get her blessings.
