Software Engineer (New Grad) Interview Experience - United States

Process

I had a brief time to introduce myself at the beginning of the interview, and then the rest was spent on a technical problem. The interviewer was collaborative and wanted me to think out loud and talk through my approach. I may have taken too long to get to the optimal approach on my own, but instead of prompting me to find something more efficient, the interviewer told me which approach I should take.
