I was contacted by an HR from Amat. After some days, the interview was scheduled.
The interviewer joined five minutes late, with no apology.
He introduced himself, saying he is a manager at Amat with 15 years of experience and has worked with Microsoft before.
He then asked me to rate myself in C#, WPF, WinForms, multithreading, and data structures.
Then he gave me two easy DSA problems, and I solved both of them.
After that, he asked a question about multithreading, which I didn't know. He also asked one question on WPF. I have no experience in desktop development, as I told him already.
Then he asked about my compensation and the offer in hand.
He said he wouldn't be able to match it since I am very weak in DSA (which I doubt, since I solved both problems he gave with optimized solutions), multithreading, and WPF (I have experience in web development).
After an hour, I got a call from HR for scheduling the second round. I asked her to drop my profile, as I didn't like the manager's attitude. I got a very negative vibe from him; he was very arrogant.
