Pros

A good place to start your career fresh out of college.

You will be thrown into the deep well of the real semiconductor industry, and it will be up to you to use every chance to learn new things.

Starting salaries are always at par or above market rate.

Cons

Lack of mentorship and guidance, especially for new college grads. Lots of micromanagement from mid-level managers who take the credit for your work. Poor coordination and communication among cross-functional teams leading to wastage of time in long email chains.

Advice to Management

Focus on innovation and enable the talented engineers, especially hardware engineers. Don't waste their time by making them deal with too many business processes and PowerPoint presentation formats.
