Pros
  • Some perks are nice.
  • The company name has an aura of innovation (not always rightly so).
Cons
  • Unqualified people are chosen for positions they are unqualified to fill, due to company politics (friends of the right people).

  • Lots of pointless meetings consume a lot of time (at least 2 hours a day, and I believe the average is about 4, while almost every week I have one day that is entirely meetings) that could have been used to work.

  • The technological stack is very outdated, and a lot of the platforms and tools being used in the company are irrelevant almost anywhere else.

  • Poor knowledge retention.

Advice to Management
  • Review workers' functions yourself (or send someone unbiased to do so), and don't let friends review friends.
  • Cut meetings short and summon only the most relevant.
  • Try to replace some of the stack slowly.
  • Build a knowledge retention program.
