I attended a local event at Arista workplace in Burnaby and met the recruiting team. I then connected with some members and forwarded my resume.
I received a call from them within a week, and we scheduled an interview.
My interview was not hard, but it was not fast enough in reaching a solution that would work given the constraints. Consequently, I received an email later stating that I did not pass the first interview.
They did not ask any behavioral questions in the first one; it was all about coding and passing the test cases quickly. It's also important to show your thinking process, so talk it out loud!
Overall, the interviewer was nice the entire time and even helped in some places. It was not a hard interview, but some speed is required.
I had done a lot of data structure and algorithm practice but wasn't asked any of those questions. I guess those questions are saved for the next interviews.
