A recruiter reached out to me on LinkedIn. She was friendly and professional. She mentioned the interviewers were picky. I scheduled my technical screening for three weeks later.

The screening went well. They asked about my resume and two coding questions in C.

The final interviews were two back-to-back. The recruiter said they could reject after one, both, or give an offer on the spot. The first interview went well, with purely technical depth questions. The interviewer left to talk to and bring in the final interviewer.

The final interview was with both interviewers. They asked more technical questions. I had no opportunity to ask any questions myself. Then they said they would deliberate for fifteen minutes.

After fifteen minutes, they came back to ask me yet another technical question. At this point, the interview was thirty minutes past the scheduled time. They then left to deliberate again.

They came back and said I’m not a good fit for the position.
