Web Developer Interview Experience - San Francisco, California

Process

The first step was a 30-minute recruiter call to discuss my background and interests.

The next step was a take-home exercise. I was given seven days to complete it (longer if requested) and spent around eight hours on it.

The subsequent step was a call with the hiring manager to review the code submission.

On the first attempt, the interviewer never called, and I eventually received an email from a recruiter stating something urgent had come up.

On the second attempt, the interviewer was ten minutes late, seemed unprepared, did not acknowledge the previous mishap, and appeared generally uninterested in my candidacy.

I never heard anything back, and it was a huge waste of my time.
