International Mechanical Install Engineer Interview Experience - Veldhoven, Netherlands
Process
In general, quite good. It was the second interview. Just show that you have been looking up about the company and that you are interested in the company.
You interview with two people. In this case, one of them was making it quite an unpleasant experience. ASML is quite big and probably you are not gonna find the same interviewer, but Jesus, I thought for a while to never apply again to that if the manager and teammates are like this.
Questions
Hands-on experience. They were obsessed with any kind of experience, like doing something to your car, repairing your bike, or 3D printing. They were really specific, even asking for the tools and the process itself, down to the detail.

- 5.0Quality Supplier ManagerQuality Supplier Manager • Current EmployeeVeldhoven, North Brabant, NetherlandsAugust 29, 2020Pros: Good company to work for with an excellent ambiance.Cons: Need to define better focus on processes.
- 5.0ASML takes good care of its own employeesSoftware/Applications Engineer • Current EmployeeVeldhoven, North Brabant, NetherlandsNovember 17, 2015Pros: Good payment, a really high-tech company. Benefits: 13th salary, profit sharing according to financial results. Possibility to do any job in the technical field due to centralized development & production in NL. Support for personal development, and also an accelerated career path for high-potential employees. Full relocation & legal support during the accommodation period. 40 holidays a year (2 months!). Personal & family life is regarded highly in NL. As a highly multicultural company, ASML strives to create an ethically correct environment & to integrate the expats is taken seriously.Cons: As in any mammoth company (8000 employees), things move slowly sometimes. Though processes are working eventually, it's better if you know the right persons. Depending on the team, it might be harder to integrate as an expat if the team is more Dutch. A large portion of the employees are through third-party consultancy companies, called "flex companies" here in NL. Some treat employees okay, but most are just money-making machines. Do be careful when choosing your employer. ASML directly is best (in NL, it's called a "fixed employee").
